Now for the presents! Aside from gift vouchers (hey, they did us no harm) we’ve a mix of goodies from budget to treat. First up Baggu’s Duck Bags, available in six colourways, the heavy recycled cotton design can be worn three ways and has an internal pocket which makes it a hit for us! Books never go out of fashion and our picks have got to be Miami Beach, Graphic USA (a must have for anyone embarking on travels stateside) and of course the Assouline Poker book.

Cheddar Pocket wallets and belts are affordable (£55 / £35) and pretty nifty. Did we mention that they’re only available from us? You won’t catch anyone else in these beauts!

The piece de resistance is without doubt Mr Sleepover, or Mr Book Bag in fact, both handmade in New Zealand by Deadly Ponies from calf skin. A stiff leather that softens to a buttery goodness, each bag holds either enough for a weekend escape or perfect for a laptop (we promise we’ve tried it) and cameras galore.
