It’s not often that a model grabs my attention. Perhaps I still hanker after the Supermodel heyday, but Suki Waterhouse hit my radar after this photograph in Vogue with her fella musician Miles Kane.
Well if you’re not sold on that bow and beehive I’m not sure what I can say to you.
She plays with clothing, treating it as dress-up and seems to be a stylish exhibition of fashion as costume. Her outfit for the NME Awards is right out of the Sixties complete with white Go Go boots and matching tights, whilst her Isle of Wight attire reminded us of TwentySeven Names with a hint of grunge.
Loving this styling for Instyle Magazine (August 2012) by Natalie Hartley, a sweet mix of strong make-up a Great Gatsby-inspired Marcel Wave and Madonna’s Express Yourself era.
Her versatility reminds me of Dree Hemingway, plus mad props to any model who can handle a rabid dog.
It’s great to see a young model interested in the Sixties without trying to be Marianne Faithfull.
