Fashion crushes. Awww shudder. In fact the overuse of ‘crush’ in anyway is pretty grating, especially when it’s so simple to say you like something. But wait! Do we use ‘crush’ when applied to things of fashion because our love may only be fleeting? Hmmm. Well fickle or not, Joanna Hillman is a style maven for me now and if style is truly timeless, tomorrow too. As Senior Market Editor of Harpers in the States she clearly gets access to some nice sample sales, but props to the girl there’s a good mix of Zara and J Crew in there too. Skills in the detailing and layering, and most of all she has fun with it. After all we all love a smiler.
